One of the many reasons that so many are drawn to surrealism is the belief that the way things actually appear are not precisely as they are. Others enjoy visual surrealism, in paintings for example, because it draws them into aspects of the psyche that seem hidden, or not brought to light. What many people do not know is that surrealism started in literature.

Surrealist is, by my viewpoint, the hard expression of ours individualism, it touch many people, EVERY PEOPLE. Cause we don't have same problems and even the same solutions.
You may saw surrealism at first time in draws, but this can appears in everything that we can feel by our senses.

Surrealism in painting is only valid in as much as it is primarily a visual experience. What can be said in words need not be painted. Secondly trompe d'oeil and technical excellence though very good tools should never become an end in themselves.
